Georges Fish Farms in Louisiana, the largest of the Gulf Coast seafood processors, is offering a golden seafood special for the Easter weekend.
According to the Georgez Facebook page, the seafood is produced in three stages: “the first is a natural golden salmon, a combination of salmon fillets and shellfish that is aged for three months, and then it’s then finished off with a combination salad of wild greens and herbs, garnished with the golden flakes of the salmon,” according to the site.
The second stage is a pink, white and yellow salmon that is marinated for a month in an herb-infused marinade.
Finally, the third stage is made from a pink salmon fillet, a pinkish salmon, and a yellow salmon filtration method.
The salmon is then dried and wrapped in paper to dry completely.
Georgs Fish Farms says it sells up to 300 pounds of golden salmon per day, and it is selling a limited quantity for the event, which is free to customers.
According the Geosign, this is the first time Georgens has done this kind of special and is a great opportunity to get your hands on some good goldfish for Easter.
“We have a limited amount of goldfish available, and we hope to sell some at Easter,” said Gary Smith, Geosigning’s general manager.
“Our customers have been telling us that it’s one of their favorite dishes and that they’re really enjoying the salmon, so we’re happy to have a special on the way.”
Geosignment has partnered with the Houston-based Goldfish Ranch for the special, and Geosigned also offers seasonal specials in the Houston area.
The company said it also has a special for Easter that’s open to guests who have already purchased golden salmon.
“For those that have already gotten their hands on the golden salmon from Geosens, we’ve also made it a little easier for them to purchase it.
This year we are offering a 50% discount for guests that have ordered it, and if you have not ordered golden salmon in the past, you can pick it up for free in advance at Geosings Ranch,” Geosencing said.
